Honeymooners: Florida is for lovers

A week on a broad beach caressed by an emerald-green sea. Hanging out in funky bars on a tropical island. Testing your golf skills over well-manicured courses at a resort plantation. Partying till the wee hours at trendy nightclubs. • Honeymoons can take almost any form and be enjoyed almost anywhere in the world.

That's true for Florida newlyweds as well — but if they're feeling the pinch in this time of economic uncertainty, there's another route: Stick closer to home and take that honeymoon in-state.

And by the time 50th birthdays and golden anniversaries roll around, people know that friends and family matter more than price tags.

Besides, it's easy to have a big, beautiful bash on a budget. Here are eight tips.

What it takes to wed in bliss

FIJI'S tourism industry is gearing to benefit from a preference by tourists to tie the proverbial knot in Fiji.

Fiji Islands and Hotel Association president Dixon Seeto said they were aware that people from around the world wanted to get married in an exotic destination such as Fiji and that is why some resorts were concentrating on this niche.

Pacnews reported that many Australian couples opted for offshore marriage ceremonies, bringing a dozen or more relatives and other guests with them.

Costa RicaĆ¢€™s honeymoon season starts for 2008

Costa Rica has never been so popular and this is partly due to the fact that honeymooners typically look for much smaller intimate hotels when deciding on honeymoon destination’s. 80% of Costa Rica’s hotels have less than 40 rooms and there are some major hoenymoon hotes out there such as Punta Islita, rated the #2 hotel in all of Costa Rica by Conde Nast Magazine.  Hotel Gaia in Manuel Antonio also offers fine service in a tropical environment and places itself on par with the Four Seasons.  The normal honeymoon tour would be 3 days in Arenal at Lost Iguana or Arenal Kioro then 4 days at the beach.  Costa Rican Honeymoons offers a great selection of honeymoons to Costa Rica.
